Hello tout le monde...

i don't want to write all this subjest in english because of mistakes...

But qui connais Jersey ? ?

thanks a lot

Hi...... Jersey is great for KAP. I had 6 sessions there last year. Look at sets 2009-041 to 2009-046 within my KAP collection: http://www.flickr.com/photos/21783072@N ... 053505734/

Locations I want to try at the next opportunity (maybe September?) are:
Elizabeth Castle which can be accessed at low tide to the west of St Helier harbour;
Gorey harbour and the overlooking Mont Orgueil castle on the central east coast in Grouville Bay;
St Brelade and Ouaisne Bays on the south coast;
And there are many, many more.

The road to the east of Jersey is flat. Anything else out of St Helier will involve some hills. If you are comfortable with hills on a bicycle then it is probably a good option. The bus system is very good too.

The airport is about 110m above sea level on the central west coast - nothing should be flying below that height!

I know Jersey quite well if you want to ask a question about a specific location.

Best,
Kevin

To give you a further taste of what Jersey might offer you as a KAP destination here are some more links to my recent sessions:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/ningaloo/s ... 998162150/ - Kempt Tower, west coast, St Ouen's Bay - a dull morning in failing winds

http://www.flickr.com/photos/ningaloo/s ... 020444510/ - St Helier at night - a failed session as I think I set the camera up incorrectly for the SDM script that I selected! This just means that I must go back and try again one day.......

http://www.flickr.com/photos/ningaloo/s ... 031155988/ - Elizabeth Castle, St Helier - 650 photos taken in 90 minutes, still many to upload to this set. Jersey's Mont St Michel??!!

The wind was not my friend for most of our time there so my kiting time was restricted. Even though the images failed, the night session was by far the most exciting. I met with a Jersey Flickr contact who took me to a narrow cliff face overlooking St Helier harbour which housed WWII defences. I was very nervous as to how the cliff would affect the wind flow but my FF16 flew beautifully under the full moon.

There is plenty more KAPing (inland as well as coastal) to be done in Jersey and I highly recommend it to anyone close enough to stop by.
