Concours Photo du American Kite Flyer Association 2008

Chaque année le AKA, American Kiteflyer Association organise sa convention annuelle et aux nombres des concours, figure un concours d’aérophoto assez couru par les membres du AKA.

Pas mal de photos dans la rubrique images à la critique mériteraient de représenter la France chez nos amis américains.

Ci dessous un résumé en anglais posté par David Wheeler sur le KAP group de Flickr. Nous étions assez nombreux chez les Japonais pour le JKPA contest, il nous faut réitérer chez les américains et le membership au AKA donne droit à des réductions intéressantes.

AKA members in attendance at the Annual AKA Convention at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, will vote on their favorite aerial images, and one award will be given for the image with the most votes. The voting occurs at the awards banquet the last night of the convention September 27, 2008

Rules:

1. Photographs submitted must have been taken by the contestant.
2. Photographs submitted must have been made by lifting a camera with a kite.
3. The photographer must be a member in good standing of AKA at the time of the convention.
4. Up to three images may be submitted by the photographer.
5. Images that have received awards in any other competition are not eligible.
6. Images must be submitted as prints & mounted on matte board or some other stiff material. There are no size limitations, but keep in mind that display space will be limited, and/or may be horizontal, e.g., flat on a table.
7. An information sheet must accompany each submission, containing image title, photographer?s name and address, image location, month and year image was taken, medium (digital or film), make of camera and kite, and brief description of any manipulation of the finished image.
8. Images will be posted anonymously and without title or location in order to make voting as objective as possible. No identifying text should appear on the face of the print or matte. Attending contestants are requested to honor this intention, and are advised not to promote their pictures before or during the convention.

Participants consent to having their entries published in the AKA's magazine, Kiting. All participants are
requested to submit digital copies of their images via email at the time of entry.

DEADLINE: Entries by mail must be received by September 21, 2008. Entries may also be submitted when registering at the convention.
