Dear KAP-friends!
Last September my wife Mong-Hie and I visited the Normandie and Bretagne the first time!
We visited many places of history, e.g. Omaha-Beach:
Omaha-Beach-PanoramaChristian Becot guided us around Cherbourg and we spent wonderful days together.
Phare de GattevilleIn the Bretagne we visted the Menhir-fields of Carnac as well as the Salines of Guérande.
All about: France is fascinating both of us and we fell in love with France more and more.
To do KAP in a wide range of wind-conditions I´m using "WoBie´s"-KAP-Cube with a GoPro 3, based on an idea of
Yvonig Huët.
The upper KAP-Cube is the basic module with batteries and 2.4 GHz-video-TX-unit.
For my needs I can attach nearly any camera-modul below just by moving the wing-screw.
BTW:
The wonderful Groundplane-Antenna can be moved backwards not to be part of the aerial-photography.
If there is interest we can make a "Groundplane-Antenna-Workshop" at Notre Dame de Monts á la
KAPiFrance125in the evening or during bad weather.
Please led me know.
My self-made "Groundplane-Antenna" is working great with omnidirectional character at 2.4 GHz-frequency.
Please have a look:
"WoBie´s"-KAP-Cube - with GoPro 3I do hope you understand why I would like to participate at the festival KAP á Notre Dame de Monts.
It would be fine to meet old friends again and get in touch with new friends.
Have always the wind to lift your KAP-system!
Wolfgang
P.S.: Additonal remarks depending on a "Groundplane-Antenna"-Workshop during the KAP-Festival at Notre Dame de Monts.
The aerial-photographies may give you an impressions about the "Groundplane-Antenna´s"-abilities as TX-antenna.
A good video-reception enables you to work more effective by choosing the right perspektive.
Ralf Beutangel, Matthias Grimm and I tested in 2012 video-transmission with 10 mW transmitters at 2.4 GHz.
Using my omnidirectional DIY-Groundplane-Antenna, I had good reception over a distance of 1 km on my monitor.
The third photography may give an impression about the compact size of the Groundplane-Antenna.
You can use the antenna for RX as well as TX.
I do hope these remarks may help you to decide, if you want to participate at the "Groundplane-Antenna-Workshop".
Best wishes!
Wolfgang
